Sophia Abraham-Raveson, Therapist, LSW

You are the expert on you. As a therapist, I am an active listener and a thought partner, but you are always the one with agency in your life. I am here to help you work through current challenges, identify patterns that aren’t serving you, and heal from past traumas.

The foundation of my approach is an understanding of how systems of power and oppression (such as sexism, racism, heteronormativity, and anti-fatness) are contributing to emotional and psychological challenges. You are not broken: our society has failed to support you. I also incorporate aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, attachment theory, somatics, and artistic practices.

I am open to working with you on anything from anxiety and life transitions to reproductive journeys and loneliness. My areas of particular focus include queer and nontraditional relationships and family structures, solo parenting, medical trauma, childhood trauma and attachment wounds, family systems, grief, and body liberation. Please feel free to reach out to see if I might be a good fit for you.
